Rear Admiral DM Sudan is a Naval Aviator from the fighter stream with extensive carrier experience on the Sea Harrier. A Qualified Flying Instructor, he has Instructional experience on the Kiran and Harrier aircrafts.
The Officer has commanded two air squadrons, the frontline Aircraft Carrier borne Sea Harrier squadron (INAS 300) and the Sea Harrier training squadron (INAS 551B). He later commanded Indian Navy’s premier Air Station, home to Fighters, Maritime Reconnaissance Aircrafts and helicopters, INS Hansa, at Goa.Along with flying, he has extensive experience at sea and has commanded four weapon carrying ships, the missile boat INS Veer, missile corvette INS Khanjar and destroyers INS Ranjit and INS Mumbai.
His staff appointments include Naval Assistant to FOC-in-C East and Director, Naval Intelligence (Operations).
The Officer has undergone the Staff Course at Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, the National Security and Strategic Studies Course at National Defence University, Beijing, China and later the National Security and Strategic Studies Course at the National Defence College, New Delhi.
On promotion to Flag rank, he took over as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Air), where he was the Senior Aviation Advisor with responsibility of all aspects of Naval Aviation including, Air Operations, Aviation Policy and Perspective Planning, Air Acquisition, Aviation Personnel Management, Aviation Infrastructure and Flight Safety.
Married to Indira Sudan, a housewife, he has two children, Aishani and Ishaan, both college students.
The Flag Officer is presently the SDS (Navy) at the National Defence College, New Delhi which he took over on 01 Jun 15.

Air Vice Marshal Arjun Subramaniam was commissioned in Dec 1981 into the fighter stream of the IAF. He has more than 3000 hours of flying, mainly on Mig-21s and Mirage –2000 aircraft. He is a graduate of the Defence Services Staff College and has commanded a Mig-21 squadron in the Eastern sector. His other operational and instructional assignments include that of Chief Operations Officer of SU-30 base, Directing staff & Head of the Air Wing Training Team at DSSC,Wellington and member of the Indian Military Advisory Team in Zambia. He has commanded Air Force Station Hindan, done a stint as the Asisstant Chief of Air Staff (Space, Concepts and Doctrine) where he was the team leader of the group that brought out the IAF’s latest doctrine and Core Values. His last assignment was as the Air Officer Commanding of Advance HQ at Pune alongside the Southern Army Command. He is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College and National Defence College and is a PhD in Defence and Strategic Studies from The University of Madras.
His articles on Leadership, Air Power, Jointmanship, India-China relations, Terrorism and Fourth Generation Warfare, National Security and Military History have been published in a number of Professional Military Journals at home and abroad. He also writes in the public domain for magazines like India Today and Indian Defence Review and newspapers like the Times of India, The Hindu and Indian Express. He has authored a book titled ` Reflections of an Air Warrior’ and is concurrently working on two books – one on Air Power in Modern Conflict and another one called Teething Years: A Military History of Modern India Vol I (1947-1971).
AVM Subramaniam was awarded the Ati Vishisht Sewa Medal in 2011 and an Honorable Mention by the Raksha Mantri for Excellence in Strategic Studies in 2009. He is married to Mowthika Subramaniam and has two teenage daughters.
Maj Gen Sunil Srivastava, VSM an alumni of NDA Khadakwasla, IMA Dehradun, DSSC Wellington, CDM Secunderabad and National Defence College New Delhi, was commissioned in ARTILLERY of the Indian Army in Dec 1981.
In his long military career, spanning over 33 years, he has held a number of prestigious Command, Staff and instructional appointments. All his Command Assignments have been in operational areas. He commanded a Field Artillery Regt on the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir, an Infantry Brigade on the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir and an Infantry Division on the Line of Actual Control in the North-East. He has held varied challenging staff appointments, as a Brigade Major dealing with operations on the LAC, Colonel Administration of an Armoured Division, BGS of an Area HQ in the North-East and Deputy Director General in Military Operations Directorate at the Army Headquarters. He has also gathered experience in Human Resources Management as a Colonel (Military Secretary) at the Army HQ.
He is married to Sujata, who is a school teacher and has a son and a daughter, both pursuing higher studies in India/abroad.
Maj Gen Anil P Dere is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and was commissioned in an Armd Regt on 13 Jun 1981. The General Officer ia a graduate of the DSSC Wellington and is qualified on the prestigious Senior Command, Higher Command and National Defence College Courses.He is also a graduate of the National War College, USA.
He has held important command, staff and instructional appointment in his distinguished service spanning over three decades and has an enviable track record.. He commanded unit during Op PARAKRAM in semi desert sector, an (Indenpendent) Armoured Brigade and an Infantry Division.He did his grade two staff assignment in OL Directorate and two Grade one staff appointments, one in an Armoured Division and other in a newly raised Corps. He has been Colonel General Staff in a Strike Corps and Brigadier General Staff at HQ Delhi Area. He has an excellent experience of equipment management as Deputy Director General of Mechanised Forces.
The General officer has been instructor at National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and Senior Command Wing, Army War College Mhow.
Shri Anwar Haleem joined the Indian Foregin Service in 1991 . He has served at Indian missions in Egypt, UAE and Saudi Arabia. He has vast exprience of working in different divisions of the Ministory of External Affairs.
Mr Anwar Haleem obtained his MA in Indian History and MA in International Studies from JNU . He joined M Phil in Disarmament Division as JRF Scholars. He has MBA Finance & LLB. He has a very distinguished academic record and varied experience in public affairs.
Shri Haleem has served in different capacities in foreign missions,covering range of political,economic,cultural and community affairs activities as well as crisis management. He has Arabic as his foreign language with vast experience of Gulf and Muslims countries. At South Block, he was the Desk officer for Sri Lanka ( 2002 - 2005) and later Director for Latin American Countries, Director SAARC (2005-2007) and Director Gulf ( 2007 - 2010). He has served as Deputy Director General of India Council of cultural Relations( ICCR), India Council of World Affairs( ICWA ) and Joint Secretary in MEA. He is single. His hobbies are reading, meeting people and music. He has been editor of " Gagananchal" a Hindi magazine & "India Quaterly", published by SAGE. He has published works on Technology Transfer from MacGraw Hill.
Maj Gen Vinaya Chandran , YSM,SM was born on 12 Jul 1961, had his early education at Sainik School, Kazhakootam. He is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Pune and was commissioned into the Indian Army Infantry 8 Assam Regiment on 24 Dec 1982.
The General Officer has attended most of the prestigious course including Higher Command Course at Army War College, Mhow and NDC, New Delhi. He was Director of Military Operations at Army HQ and Directing Staff at Higher Command Course at Army War College, Mhow.
The General Officer commanded his battalian in intense counter terrorism environment and Independent Mountain Brigade in High Altitude and a Division Level formation in intense counter terrorism environment.
Maj Gen Vinaya Chandran was awarded Yudh Sewa Medal while commanding his battalion and Sena Medal as Director of Military Operations.

Maj Gen Vinaya Chandran is married to Mrs. Beena Nair who is an academician presently working as GM Academics of a large chain of Schools. Have two sons, elder one Krishna Chandran is an Engineer working in USA and younger one Anish is a Doctor working for Govt. of Assam.
