Lecture panel discussion
The College has an impressive list of visiting Faculty of experts and eminent persons from all spheres of activities related to national and international security issues. Lectures / presentations/ panel discussions by the visiting Faculty, are the most important part of training at the College.
Lectures by the visiting Faculty are organised on topics related to National Security and Strategic Studies and are focused on issues identified for discussions during the on going study. The lectures are of one hour duration followed by a detailed question and answer session with the Course Members with a short coffee break in between. The Course Members, thereafter, have free interaction with the visitor at the working lunch and coffee break, which is part of the daily routine at the College.
On issues involving many view points, the College invites visiting Faculty for a panel discussion by three or four experts. One of the panellists is requested to moderate the discussions which is of approximately 90 minutes duration. Interaction, thereafter, follows the pattern similar to lectures
Opportunity talks by visiting distinguished personalities, from within the country or from abroad, are often organised at the College to expose the Course Members to their views. Visiting heads of states, senior military officials and ministers from foreign countries usually come in this category of talks. Question/Answer session and free interaction also follows these, depending upon the time available with the visiting dignitary.
All lectures/panel discussions are recorded and audio cassettes are placed in the library. These can be borrowed for audition but only within the library premises in the audio cubicles provided for the purpose.
